Protect Investment, Eliminate rust and chips, change color and Extend life

The powder coated finish is fast replacing liquid finishes for a variety of reasons not the least being the superior quality and adhesion of the powder coating finishes

Gone are the sags, runs, drips and chips, instead a smooth or textured finish, uniform and durable, and can be extremely thin, or remarkably thick to meet the most demanding needs.

HOW POWDER COATING WORKS

Dry powder is fed from a supply hopper to an electrostatic spray gun, where a low amperage, high voltage charge is applied to the powder particles. The powder used in the powder coating process is comprised of resins and pigments and in its dry formulated state is then sprayed onto the part to be finished. These parts are stripped, cleaned and etched then electrically grounded so that the charged particles projected are firmly attracted to the metals surface until melted and fused "cured" in an oven creating a smooth finish.

The principal resins used in the thermosetting type powder coatings are epoxy, polyester, and acrylic. Each has different advantages.

High, medium and low gloss finishes are now common and major industrial and consumer manufactures are using powder coating finishes as a sales and product advantage when compared to liquid finished products. The exceptional toughness and impact resistance of powder coating finishes plus the environmentally friendly "solvent free" process are key benefits for metal furniture, automotive, motorcycle and industrial products where paint chipping had to this point had been a major problem. In the end you get a maintenance free finish that will out last countless liquid paint applications
